Eco System Specialism

How much thought do you give to the Eco system of your specialism?

Fear not this isn’t a twist on the Darwinist argument; more the opportunity to raise awareness on just how broad your speciality probably is.

Let’s run with an obvious one first which is the Microsoft Voice product range.  This is typically the hardest item to deliver to any reseller who’s first question is; “How do we make money out of it?”  The answer in all likelihood is that you don’t.  Obviously this is a fantastic business proposition then…(!)  What you do make money from is the Eco-system and the services in providing it.

Foggy Clouds

Ever wanted a completely clear understanding as to what this Cloud business is about? Yes? Me too…

Unfortunately you’re unlikely to find the answer here, fear not this isn’t a self-depreciating view of the Cloud that could perhaps be perceived as threatening to the Distribution and Reseller industry in the I.T Channel, no this is my own view as to what the Fog, sorry Cloud, means to me as an individual.

UC Expo – AudioCodes, Services and Where’s my Demo?

What was your take on the event?  Lots of competing technologies but all with the aim of bringing together various communication techniques some of which you probably didn’t even realise you needed?!?

I was there attending with AudioCodes and as I’ve written before one of the primary advantages of AudioCodes is that it stands as a truly agnostic brand that can unite IP and SIP based technologies from just about any brand.  With an extensive testing program it can help resolve a common problem faced by resellers looking to deliver UC across multiple vendors; that is the support and demarcation between technologies.
