McAfee highlights need for tight security

McAfee has found that a hacking group penetrated 72 organisations in 14 countries since 2006 stealing national secrets, business plans and other sensitive information. The company has also released an educational guide to banking online for consumers. A recent survey by Javelin Strategy and Research found that 47 percent of households that used online banking last year did not have antivirus software installed.

Tech Data Corporation Announces Agreement to Acquire Netherlands-Based Triade Holding

Triade Holding Acquisition Marks Significant Step Forward in Diversification Strategy

Computer 2000 parent company, Tech Data Corporation, has entered into an agreement to acquire the stock of Triade Holding, a privately-held portfolio of value added distributors of consumer electronics, mobility and information technology products in Benelux and Denmark. In a related transaction, Brightstar Europe, a joint venture between Brightstar Corporation and Tech Data, has announced an agreement to acquire Triade company, Mobile Communication Company (MCC), a mobility specialist in Benelux. The transactions are subject to EU regulatory approval and are expected to be completed during the third quarter of fiscal 2011.

We have offered this service on Xerox for some time now – and it has been extremely popular and successful. Now that it is available on these additional best-selling lines, the opportunities for resellers to provide an improved and expanded service to customers and make additional margins have been massively expanded. Selling lease plans for print devices that are designed to support very high duty cycles and provide all kinds of functionality and options can be lucrative and generate good income for resellers. Often, these devices are being used to replace the old office photocopier, scanner, fax and shared laser printer with a single device that provides all of these functions and a range of options that will suit all users. They are often quite complex devices and assembling them and making them work often requires some expertise and/or experience.
