Computer 2000 named Adobe Acrobat Distributor of the year
Computer 2000 has been presented with the title of Adobe Acrobat Distributor of the Year for the UK and Ireland. The award was received on behalf of the company by Nick Stancliffe, Adobe Account Manager on behalf of Computer 2000 Software team, at a special event (at the Adobe Channel Awards) at Shaka Zulu in Camden. It was made in recognition of the work Computer 2000 has done with Adobe over the past 12 months in promoting Acrobat and other related solutions to Adobe partners. Computer 2000 has enjoyed particular success with its Adobe Partner Connect Boot Camps, which it has been running throughout the year. These one-day seminar and workshop events have provided more than 40 resellers with classroom and hands-on learning sessions, enabling them to become certified for Adobe Acrobat, Creative Suite and Adobe Licensing.
The Boot Camps also teach resellers how to make the best use of the Adobe Certified Licensing Program (CLP), how to access and use deal registration tools, and earn extra margin on Adobe products. Stancliffe said: ‘We have invested strongly in Adobe and in helping partners to develop their capabilities over the past year and we’re pleased to have been recognised by Adobe for our achievements in developing business around the Acrobat suite. We will continue to work with Adobe to make Computer 2000 the number-one distributor of choice for all Adobe partners in the UK and Ireland.’ More Adobe Partner Connect Boot Camps are now being planned and scheduled. Any reseller who would like more information, should email nicholas.stancliffe@computer2000.co.uk

Last time out we talked about the launch of Windows 8 server Beta, well the first test reports are starting to come in. From a virtualisation point of view one of the features that will provide most functionality is the new PowerShell CMDLETS for managing Hyper-V replicas to find out more have a look at this. There really is some funky new features in Windows 8, take for example the Windows on a stick, USB stick that is, it provide users with a full corporate copy of Windows on a USB storage device called “Windows To Go” feature, but will probably be an enterprise feature. However one of the drawbacks of Windows 8 is that it can’t be managed by System Centre 2012 or so I thought.
