In the first of this new series of pieces, we take a behind-the-scenes look at the various teams within Computer 2000 that make the distribution business tick, we look at the role played by the Customer Service team.
Come upstairs to the third floor of the Computer 2000 offices and you will hear the Customer Service department before you see it!
A constant buzz of activity surrounds the area where a team of 16 customer service executives work, whose only role is to help customers solve problems. Whenever something goes wrong with an order, when a delivery has gone astray, or there’s a query with an invoice, it’s the Customer Service team that will deal with it.
It can, at times, be tough as Dawn Ballinger, one of the longest-serving employees at the company admits. But it also has its rewards. Some of the team have been at the recent Computer 2000 Connect Roadshows to talk to customers about what they do, and the response they got was very positive.

Power to I – the power of a connected enterprise or individual
Today I set out the simple objective to get from point A to point B and back whilst meeting with a customer and upgrading some hardware.
Sounds simple and by all accounts it should have been.
So what really happened; well I arrived at the train station to find my train had left early, yes, early. You literally couldn’t make it up, so out comes the smartphone and two minutes later I’ve found an alternative route and I’m on the way to the customer thankfully still on time.
