McAfee makes significant investments to enable partners to sell McAfee security solutions into SMB
McAfee is making significant investments to enable partners to sell McAfee security solutions to Small and Mid-size Businesses (SMB) so we thought it was a good idea to put their press release up here on the C2000 blog.In response to a worldwide opportunity of more than $7 billion for SMB security solutions, McAfee is launching the SMB Specialization within the McAfee SecurityAlliance program to enable partners to improve profitability while addressing the unique needs of SMB customers.
The McAfee SMB specialization is a robust program that empowers partners to sell targeted security solutions to customers with less than 250 employees. By enrolling in this specialization, partners can offer their customers email, web, data and endpoint security solutions, with on-premise or SaaS delivery models. With this new program partners can take advantage of an enhanced profitability model, a full range of enablement tools, turnkey marketing programs, and dedicated resources.
This specialization is supported by the Partner Acceleration Resource Center, a dedicated online resource center which provides McAfee SMB partners 24×7 access to the information needed by channel partners to more easily drive new SMB business and expand existing business with SMB customers:
Increased Profitability: Streamlined deal registration allows partners to accelerate the sales cycle. Additionally, broad upsell and cross-sell opportunities with proven solutions and services from a single, trusted vendor help partners be more profitable and extend their customer reach. Enhanced McAfee Rewards and margin programs have been created uniquely for SMB partners.
Marketing on Demand: The Partner Acceleration Resource Center provides quick and easy access to SMB specific information including product overviews, product briefings, tutorials, best practices, sales tools, and marketing campaigns. Partners receive marketing materials that help them execute marketing campaigns on their own or they can access a third party marketing platform that will execute the campaign on their behalf.
Sales On Demand: The resource center includes tools and turnkey sales accelerations kits that utilize McAfee best practices in demand creation. The center offers increased sales support resources for partners to leverage for assisting with SMB opportunities. McAfee has created powerful tools to help increase a partner’s status as a trusted security advisor. Dedicated McAfee sales and product experts are available for on-the-spot sales help.

The SMB customer wants a local reseller to act as their trusted security advisor and who knows their unique business needs. With the launch of the Partner Acceleration Resource Center and the SMB Specialization, McAfee now has a faster way to scale and enable the tens of thousands of distributors and resellers worldwide and to address and tackle the important security issues of the small and mid-size business.
The SMB Specialization is one of a series of specializations that have been introduced to the McAfee SecurityAlliance Partner Program. Earlier this month, the U.S. Federal Partner Specialization and the Mobile Security Specialization were launched in North America.

Its good to see McAfee doing this, they have started to really emerge recently after contracts with BT and HSBC. I have found them to be very good and I hope they keep investing.
