Computer 2000 announces Lee Perkins is to join Sage

Computer 2000 has announced that Lee Perkins will be leaving the company to take up a role with Sage, the business software and services company.  Perkins re-joined Computer 2000 in 2008 as UK Country Manager, after spending a two-year period away from the business. He had previously been UK Director of Azlan, the enterprise networking business unit of Computer 2000.

Andy Gass, Managing Director for UK and Ireland, said: “Lee has played a key role in the company’s growth over the years and we have valued his contribution.”

Perkins will become Managing Director responsible for Small Business in the UK at Sage. He stated: “It has been a privilege to have been part of Computer 2000 at a time when we have achieved so much.   I have learnt a great deal during my time at the company and am now very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead with Sage.”

Just two weeks ago at its Vendor Summit, Gass confirmed Computer 2000 is in a strong position to execute its strategy of taking technology to market and growing the UK business into a £2bn distributor. “Computer 2000’s board is very strong and Lee’s current responsibilities will be absorbed by the existing team in the short term.  We will be actively searching for a suitable replacement.” Gass stated.

Computer 2000 has added well over 100 new people to its headcount over the past year, all of them bringing additional expertise and skills to the business. The strategy is clearly working, with company revenues growing steadily and in excess of market growth.
