Tech Data Europe signs distribution agreement for full range of Transcend memory and storage products

Provides all Tech Data European operations with access to the complete range of Transcend’s high quality memory products for system builder, upgrade, enthusiast and consumer markets.

Geneva, 14^th September  2010 – Tech Data Europe has signed an agreement with Transcend, a worldwide leader in storage and multimedia products, becoming the only distributor to offer the company’s complete range throughout the European region. The agreement gives all 16 of Tech Data’s country operations in the EU region immediate access to Transcend’s high quality memory, storage and multimedia solutions.

The agreement provides resellers and system builder customers with an additional choice of high quality DRAM solutions that can be used to upgrade memory capacity in leading-brand PCs, notebooks and servers, or to populate brand new systems. It also gives traditional retailers and direct mail retailers access to the vendor’s wide range of flash cards, USB flash drives, digital music players and other multimedia products.  In addition, Transcend’s solid state drives and external hard drives will be fully available to Tech Data Europe operations and their customers.

The European-level agreement builds on a number of partnerships between Transcend and Tech Data operations in specific countries that have been established over the past two years, extending the relationship to enable Tech Data operations in all its 16 European countries to access the company’s full product set.
